Faith Statement
We have added this page just in case you are wondering about what we believe!
Our passion is to see God’s Kingdom expanding around the world without limit, through reaching out in simple expressions of love – channelling the grace and mercy of our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ. We strongly believe, as a team, that we are agents of the Great Commission and that the work we have been called to do cannot be achieved without each of us making and striving towards a living commitment to the Great Commandment.
The simplest and clearest statement of our beliefs is contained in the Apostles Creed – beliefs which we share with millions of Christ-followers around the globe, and through which God is enabling us to serve together without any complicated conflict or debate.
The Apostle’s Creed
We believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord: Who was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried. He descended to the dead; The third day He arose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty, whence He shall come to judge the living and the dead. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy universal church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen
The Great Commandment
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 22:36-40 (NIV)
The Great Commission
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (NIV)
