Vision, Goals, Objectives
Our vision for CCI is to assist churches of all denominations, all over the world, in establishing expanding networks of small groups that will effectively “equip God’s people to do His work, and build up the church, so that the whole body is healthy and growing and full of love” (Ephesians 4:12,16).
Our long-term strategic goal is to form an expanding team of international coach-consultants to help churches of every denomination to understand and appreciate the worth and critical importance of expanding networks of small groups operating in the life of their churches … engaging the members of their congregation in ministry and mission, in the power of the Holy Spirit and through the proper exercise of their gifts.
When we launched CCI in February, 2008, our objectives were to:
1. Contract with three churches in the Gold Coast area of Australia to provide close consulting and coaching support .
We’ve established consulting relationships with three churches in the Gold Coast region of Australia. We are working with them - we have raised up leaders and have begun to implement the Small Groups Development Plan, and are evidencing encouraging results.
2. Establish a small groups training and resource center on the Gold Coast to serve churches Australia-wide.
We are still in the ‘ideas’ phase of this project but hope to commence more concrete work to establish this in early 2012.
3. With the help of our partners around the world, we plan to translate CCI’s Small Groups Development training manual and Growing Up into His Likeness into various languages, including Greek, Finish, Polish, Romania, Portuguese, French and Arabic.
We have just completed a complete revision (and publication) of the Small Group Development manual. We are in the process of sending this out to our international partners to start translation. We have set ourselves the target of having these translations completed by the end of 2011.
4. Build an expanding team of globally based CCI field coach-consultants to help churches understand, adopt, adapt and apply small group principles in the building of authentic community, godly-leaders, and the Kingdom of God.
At the moment CCI has field coach-consultants in the UK and Romania.
5. Invite financially enabled individuals, churches and other church development organisations to invest in CCI’s ongoing development in several financially challenged countries around the world, providing opportunities for them to invest in such churches, prayerfully and financially.
This has not been a priority during the initial stages of setting up CCI. However, working with our partners around the world we realistically expect to be able to promote and extend the support available to a number of financially challenged partners in 2011.
6. Develop the CCI website so that we can provide, within the comfortable reach of every church around the globe, online information and access to teaching and training resources.
We have been greatly encouraged by the amount of interest our website has generated and we have been able to make some resources available online to churches and individuals around the world. Our website is in the process of being completely updated as we write this, and we hope to re-launch it in June 2010.
