Bill & Beryl
Bill & Beryl Joukhadar have been married since 1970 and live on the Gold Coast of Australia, 60 kms South of Brisbane. They have two adult children and two grandchildren. Between May 2000 and January 2008 they served on staff at Maadi Community Church (MCC) in Cairo. As a result of the many amazing experiences related to small groups development that they had during this period - and believing that small groups is the best way to grow God’s people, His church, and His Kingdom - they founded Cells-church Consultants International (CCI) when they returned to Australia in February, 2008. Bill & Beryl have dedicated the rest of their working lives to forming an international team of specialist consultant-practitioners, and the development of world-class resources, that will serve churches of all denominations, world-wide, in the work of building His church through healthy small groups.

Gary & Aline
Gary and his wife Aline partnered with Bill Joukhadar at Maadi Community Church, Cairo where Gary served as the Director of Western and Egyptian Small Groups and Aline as a trainer/coach and administration manager for the Small Groups Ministry. They left Cairo in August 2007 and now live in Llanelli, South Wales, UK. Gary has been involved in writing training materials and coordinating the training of leaders for The Alif Project, an interactive video course designed for small group studies and inspired by the internationally successful Alpha course – and now he is working with other local churches to develop the Small Groups model. Gary’s role as an Associate Director of CCI is serving the UK and Europe, following up expressions of interest from churches concerning the development of small groups.
George & Despina
George and Despina numbered among the many who came to the Lord through the miraculous small groups movement at Maadi Community Church in early 2000. Immediately they joined MCCs Kingdom expansion effort by undergoing small groups development training and then stepped forward in faith to facilitate a new small group. Having tasted “Christian community” at its best, George and Despina expressed delight in accepting an invitation to join CCI as associate directors, supporting our small groups expansion work in a variety of ways among our church partners in developing countries.
Residing and working in Cairo, George and Despina are blessed with three handsome boys. They don’t come any better than George and Despina – they are “top shelf” passionate follower-servants of the Lord!
Rosemary
Rosemary is rare find … she is an exceptionally passionate, committed and tenacious godly woman who does not back away from a challenge without mounting a good fight. Working through her specialist gifting, Rosemary is a harmonious and collaborative team player. She lives in the USA, is married, and has four adult aged children.
Elijah & Blessing
Pastor Elijah Samuel latched onto cells as the best way to grow a church when he sat in on presentations of Small Groups Development, facilitated by Bill during training visits to Nigeria, in 2004 and 2007. After enjoying some degree of success through applying cells principles in churches in Lagos and Ibadan, Elijah was invited by Maadi Community Church in Cairo to coordinate the development cell groups among the church’s African community in their church in 2007.
Elijah is a man of exceptional godly-character … humble, hardworking and teachable. He leads by example, and people love to follow him. He is married to Blessing, a delightful godly woman. Together they are on the pastoral team of a growing church in Lagos, Nigeria. With the blessings of his senior pastor, Kolawole Oladimeji, and his ministry organisation, Dominion Impact Church, we are delighted that Elijah has accepted our invitation to join the CCI team as our Associate Director in Africa.
Elijah will be working particularly closely with our Field Directors in Egypt (Fredrick Omoh-John) and Sudan (Helen Achiro).
Dave & Jess
Dave and Jess Quak are “top shelf” Kingdom-Kids! They have been serving at Beachside Christian Church and have decided to step out in faith to plant a new church “Living Temple Christian Church” in Elanora on the Gold Coast, using the small groups model – an amazing adventure!
This young couple are spiritually, physically, and emotionally attractive young leaders. Their “refreshing” disposition makes it a delight to be with them and to serve alongside of them. They have a positive approach to life and service for the Lord. Ambitious? Sure thing!
Their vision of one thousand small groups in ten years is what I call “ambitious faith that get’s the Lord’s attention.” Friends, keep your eyes on Dave & Jess Quak – with the Lord, they are going places … places we would like to experience ourselves.

Fredrick & Sarah
Fredrick Omoh-John comes from Nigeria but has lived in Cairo (Egypt) for over 8 years, which is where he met Bill – at Maadi Community Church. After joining a cell (small) group and then undertaking the Cell Group Pastor training at MCC, Fredrick very quickly progressed to becoming a passionate advocate of small groups, as well as an accomplished trainer and coach – he eventually became the Director of the African Cell Groups Ministry at MCC.
Nicknamed ‘Fireball Fredrick’ by Bill (because of his contagious passion and enthusiasm – even for the most challenging assignment) Fredrick also has a passion for working with the daughter churches that were born out of MCC’s refugee development programme that served predominantly the Sudanese and African refugees. In particular Fredrick has been incresing involved in ministry, reaching out to the children of these very disadvantaged communities in and around Maadi.
Fredrick married his wonderful wife, Sarah, in 2009 and they have two beautiful children. Sarah is demonstrating all the attributes of a godly wife in her love and support for her husband’s vision and passion in godly-service. We are delighted that Fredrick has agreed to take on the challenge of being CCI’s Field Director in Egypt, where he will be working with and training small group pastors from a number of denominations and countries in Egypt. Please join us in praying for God’s continuing provision for Fredrick and Sarah in all aspects of their lives, marriage and ministry.
Helen
Helen Achiro fled Sudan to Egypt in 2003 with her three children. The story of her life and the challenges that she has faced and overcome since then are powerful testimonies not only to the grace and mercy available to us all through Jesus, but also to her personal faith, integrity, perseverance, courage and strength.
Recruited, trained, coached and mentored by ‘Fireball’ Fredrick, Helen served on the small groups development executive team at Maadi Community Church, Cairo, from 2003. She was a “diamond in the rough” discovery … a precious spiritual gem, polished and cut through discipleship development, and is highly treasured by the Lord . Her insatiable hunger and thirst for the Lord and desire to be His available servant facilitated her rapid grow and development. She grew from pastoring a small group of 10 people to becoming a small groups director of two zones in the city of Cairo - 192 small groups, comprising of over 900 people! How incredible is that?
Helen returned to Sudan early in 2011 to be with her children and, having expressed her desire to continue serving the Lord’s needs there, has graciously accepted the challenge of being CCI’s Field Director in Sudan – and we are confident that the Lord will use her in powerful ways to build His Kingdom in her homeland.
