Following in Abraham’s footsteps

In November 1999 both Beryl and I were 49 years old and we had begun to think about retiring in the comfort of our recently expanded and renovated home on the Gold Coast of Australia. Our children were grown up, they would never need to leave home and the two of us would be able to see-out the remainder of our working years with our local church, in ease and comfort.

“Palmera” is the name of a three star Egyptian owned and operated beachside hotel that is situated two hours drive from Cairo on the Western side of the Red Sea, near the Suez Canal. It’s where Beryl (my wife) and I would endeavour to escape to each month of our eight years in Egypt for blue sky, fresh air and respite from the heavy pollution, stress and chaos of Cairo. read on
