Surveying the land like Joshua

“Dancing on water” is a faith experience that is possible for every believer – IF you are prepared to (1) put your life totally in the hands of the Master (2) open yourself to learning new faith-steps from Him and (3) keep your eyes on Him and not on your feet. If you do these things then you CAN (and WILL) experience the wonder of “dancing on water”, even in the most frightening circumstances of life. read on

Following in Abraham’s footsteps

In November 1999 both Beryl and I were 49 years old and we had begun to think about retiring in the comfort of our recently expanded and renovated home on the Gold Coast of Australia. Our children were grown up, they would never need to leave home and the two of us would be able to see-out the remainder of our working years with our local church, in ease and comfort.

Rosemary Kauffman in the USA

I want to tell you about the small groups ministry at Monterey Church, USA.

We just finished the second round of small group pastors training with a year-end goal of 100 pastors! The woman who was my apprentice is now the director of small group ministry in our church, and she is just miles ahead of me.

It’s wonderful to see how people’s views of being a Christian are being transformed from that of a spectator to that of a participant. People are just stepping out of their comfort zones. The Lord is working miracles in creating a community out of nothing.

The Sunday service continues to grow with young people, mostly and often with commitments to following Christ. We had over 300 last weekend and we’ve started a Sunday evening service.

Recently at a post training small group get together, Bryan, our senior pastor, recounted the church’s journey from a hotel room to a large theatre. He said that he sensed that God was going to maximise the size but from that there would be multiplications. He then said that a former member who was transferred to Maryland has started a cell and Monterey Church would support that plant.

It’s really amazing to see here what I saw in Maadi, Cairo. From simple beginnings, determined faith, and the Lord’s mighty power – shows a revolution that beats like a heart and brings life to those involved.
