Cells + Celebration = A winning combination!

Cells + Celebration = A winning combination“They worshipped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity” Acts 2:46.

The New Testament Church in Jerusalem grew soundly as believers devoted themselves to worshipping God in the Temple, and fellowshipping together in their homes. The Temple and home experience was, and still is, a winning combination providing the ideal context for balanced growth of every believer, and every church.

CCI’s Small Groups Development strategy underscores the importance of all church members striving together to attain excellence in their Christian lives through belonging to a small group (Cells) and Worshipping together in Sunday services (Celebration). We see in the Scriptures that both areas of church life are equally valued and serve the Body of Christ in a complementary manner, through a spirit of oneness.

Churches that equally value the small and large church contexts, testify of encouraging growth in health, strength and size. These churches refer to their worship services as “celebration” events. Why? Because that is precisely what the Spirit compels them to do – they love to celebrate God’s goodness and grace at work in their lives as they commune together in their groups.

Cells and Celebration are without a doubt a winning combination … providing every believer an ideal context for deepening community and expanding celebration! It’s no surprise that the natural urge of Cells + Celebration churches is to celebrate as they see “the Lord adding to their groups those who are being saved” (Acts 2:47b).

Indeed, Cells + Celebration = A winning combination!
