Pastor Wes Jessop worked with Bill on a pastoral team in Australia in 1989, so after Bill and Beryl returned to Australia in 2008 Wes contacted him to help in the development of Beachside’s home groups. Bill was able to quickly identify a small groups champion (Jess Quak)  from within Beachside to train, equip and coach. Two days per  week consulting work with Beachside commenced in February 2009. Russell Hinds and Bill Joukhadar planted the Gold Coast Christian Family in 1998 – and not long after that, in April 2000, Bill left GCCF to start a new ministry with an English speaking international church in Cairo, Egypt. When Bill returned from his eight years of ministry in Cairo, Russell contacted him and asked for his help in the development of the small groups ministry at GCCF where for two years, small groups had lacked a coordinator.  [Read more...]

A great place for a fresh start!

Bill served as Associate Pastor at HBC when he first entered the ministry way back in 1987.  In 2007 – just a year before returning to Australia from Cairo, Pastor Matt Hunt, after hearing of the small groups success at MCC,  travelled to Cairo and discussed with Bill and Beryl the possibility of working with HBC to develop their home groups ministry.  As a result, in April 2008, HBC entered into a formal consultancy agreement with CCI to head up this work.  Initially Bill worked as a consultant-trainer with the pastoral team but it wasn’t long before a successor (small groups champion) was identified and affirmed in this work – Stu Quarterman quickly proved to be an excellent find.  [Read more...]
